OpenGlass Instance Running before Initialization?

I don't know what better to way to title the issue, but trying to startup OpenGlass with either the old/new scripts or the command prompt (on Admininstrator) it keeps saying there's already an instance of OpenGlass running, even after uninstalling/installing or shutting down.

I do know that OpenGlass does show a DWM error on the login screen, and when pressing Abort dismisses it. I'm not sure if that's the currently running instance (as it never seems to run on boot for me.)

Update: I think after running the uninstall script, restarting my laptop, and then running the install and startup script again, it's working once again. Just something I feel to consider.

I think I forgot to add a check for whether the OpenGlass service actually stopped successfully. In your case, the OpenGlass service process somehow turned into a zombie process. It could not be terminated by the stop command, while the controller side only reported that the stop instruction was sent successfully. As for why it became a zombie process, I think it's most likely a Windows 11 bug.

for anybody experiencing this issue I just killed dllhost.exe and it started working for me again
