Description
Expected behavior
Normally, I have not had a problem getting the Lineage feature and sidebar to populate. This still works in VS Code as expected, but not in Cursor.
Actual behavior
Recently, I've noticed that the Lineage feature no longer renders a graph of a given dbt file, with the following error:
A valid dbt file (model, seed etc.) needs to be open and active in the editor area above to view lineage
Similarly, I noticed yesterday that the sidebar that shows model tests, parent models, children models, etc. no longer populates with any information.
Things I've done:
- confirmed that my
target/has all the relevant artifacts that might be needed (catalog.json, manifest.json, etc.) - confirmed that the MCP server is listening correctly
- reinstalled the extension
- cleared workspace cache
- confirmed that my dbt Power User extension still works in VS Code (vs Cursor)
Steps To Reproduce
I'm not sure how to reproduce this. I changed nothing about my Cursor, dbt, or extension set up.
