I've been trying to get my fork of hack.chat to work over an onion.

HiddenServiceDir [directory]
HiddenServicePort 80 127.0.0.1:8080

I'm a bit confused as to what im supposed to do. Am I supposed to set it too listen to the websocket port?

I would use a reverse proxy so that the websocket server is accessible at :80/chat-ws instead of :6000/. This way both servers are on the same port.
