My laptop won't recognize the AnduinOS installation USB

Morning, I have tried to install the AnduinOS onto my 10 year old HP Laptop, but no matter what I try I can't get the PC to recognize the installation USB. I made the USB using version 1.4 and 1.1 but neither would be seen by the Laptop. I did try both USB's on my newer desktop PC and had no issues running the live version. Is there something about the older Laptop that makes it not recognize this Linux software. I have tried many other Linux distro's on this HP Laptop and have no problems running them.
The Laptop is an HP 15g067cl with a 64 bit AMD A8-6410 Processor, 8 gig Ram, 2 - 2.1 USB ports and 1 3.0 USB port.
I did try all the different USB ports and even went into BIOS to verify the settings.
Is there something different about this installation USB drive, I used Rufus 4.11 to make the drive and also tried using BalenaEtcher with no better results.
Any suggestions by anyone?

I bet there might be something wrong with burning the USB stick.

How did you burn it? When using Rufus, please burn with dd mode instead of ISO mode.

Can you try turning off secure boot for testing?

Thanks I'll try that but the USB drive I have does work on a newer PC. I'll let you know what I find out.

Ok, I tried your new approach and made two USB installation drives. One on a 64Gig drive and one on an 8Gig drive both using Rufus 4.6 and burned with DD mode instead of ISO mode. Neither USB drive could be seen by the Laptop but worked fine on my newer PC. I did try other Linux distro I made onto USB drives and they boot up just fine on the older Laptop. I tried earlier to turn off Secure Boot in BIOS also with no different outcome.

Anything else I can try.

Emmm.. That's interesting...

As I tested, AnduinOS supports both BIOS and UEFI. Supports both Secure boot or without secure boot.

But AnduinOS only support AMD64 architect. (x86-64). Can you share the model of the CPU? Maybe it just doesn't support AMD64.

As I said in my original statement the Laptop is an AMD 64bit with A8-6410 processor and 8 gig Ram. Also, I did try using 2 different versions of Rufus and also the BalenaEtcher program.

Found the issue with my Laptop not recognizing the Install USB drive. I was looking in BIOS and changed the Legacy from Disabled to Enabled. Also changed the boot order so the USB drive was first. I still had to select 'Change boot order' on startup. By doing this all the external USB drives showed up in the list.
Not sure why this made a difference but it did.

Cool! I'm glad to hear that you solved it!! I bet UEFI might be missing the USB stick driver maybe.
