## Hybrid Vehicle Project
22

3-
A note about projects.
3+
This is not meant as a easily reproducable or educational guide/project for building your own system. Maybe one day. It is mostly a collection of information, with large sections missing, of my personal project.
4+
5+
# Goal
6+
7+
The goal of this project is to explore greater fuel saving in vehicles, not by minimizing fuel usage of a class of vehicles (such as compact cars). But instead work towards world wide reductions in fuel usage by keeping consumers from switching to less fuel effficient vehicles.
8+
9+
As an example, consider the fuel benefits of a jump in US passenger fleet from an average fuel economy of 23 mpg to 30 mpg. And constract this to fuel usage if billions of the worlds population currently traveling by 50cc scooter upgrades to pasenger cars.
10+
11+
The goal of this project is to explore vehicle configurations that will allow smaller engines to outperform in acceleration larger engines. And thereby allow consumers to upgrade vehicles without upgrading to larger less efficient engines.

18+
This motorcycle features an ICE in series with a 72 Volt Supercap pack fed to a 9KW AC-Induction Motor.

The goal was to create an innexpensive vehicle which improved gas mileage marginally over a similar performance vehicle. But also allowed a limited performance machine to have certain characterstics, namely acceleration, to offset the purchase of a larger machine

## Version 2.0 is a Parrallel Hybrid Super Capacitor Scooter

22+
This scooter features a 3kw Hub Motor in parrallel with a 50cc engine.

## V2 Parrallel Hybrid Supercapacitor Scooter

# Development Setup
4+
Mechanical Setup pretty simple. The only problem was how to mount the hub motor in parrallel with the Internal Combusion Engine.

6-
# Testing
6+
The parts are listed in the ./parts/parts.txt
7+
8+
The solution was to offset CVT Transmission enough to fit the electric motor.

### The trans offset with the electric motor.

### Closer look at the engine trans adapter. What was fabricated ( no pic ) was a shaft adapter that fit to the existing spline and extended by 40 mm and had new splines for the transmission pulleys
