Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Simply put, the grayscale is too distracting for me.
Describe the solution you'd like
Literally just... Give a setting to disable the favicons on tabs going grayscale when unloaded.
Describe alternatives you've considered
I do already use an extension that, on its own, also attempts to unload inactive tabs (Auto Tab Discard), and have been using that since I used Firefox. In that extension's implementation, unloaded tabs can optionally append a 💤 emoji to the start of the tab's name), but the favicon is untouched. Combined with the Tree Style Tab extension (which is just, A Feature of Waterfox), an inactive tab would have a grayed out and italicized name. Something like that would be nice, but really, just giving an ability to disable the grayed-out favicons would be sufficient for right now.
