In the settings just change from automatically install to ask before install. |

This doesn't actually do anything. I have this option set - have for a while - and it still shows a notification saying "Restart Waterfox to apply updates" - it NEVER asks if I actually want to install it. Being on 6.5.10: Downgraded to 6.5.9, and 6.5.10 installing itself despite "ask me" being checked: 6.5.10 being ready to install by restarting Waterfox despite, again, "ask me" being checked: |

This sounds like a real glitch. Should probably make an issue for that one. This issue was just about cancelling updates that have already began. |

It's directly related in that the "cancel update" button would be directly tied to the existing option "Check for updates but let you choose to install them" - where you can cancel/delete the downloaded update file - which already doesn't work the way it should. |

This is a feature request.
I started Waterfox today and found a nice display saying it was updating. This was probably an auto update like every browser usually does.
However, there should maybe be a way to cancel these. Right on the "Updating" page, you could just have a button to stop the update, if that's possible.
