No gamepad on Playnite

I have Apollo working with streaming, but the pad won't work. I stream to Chromecast on my TV, using a PS4 GamePad.
With steam big picture everything is working, with Playnite I can navigate the menu, start the game but when the game is loaded I can't use the pad.
I can see the mouse arrow and the game (Control from epic) say "press return to continue".
If I config steam launcher to launch external game the pad works and the game say "press A to continue" and everything is working.
What I am missing?

Nope, the game is full screen and focused.
Maybe I missed something but should I install some driver iny host pc to have a working pad?

If launching from steam directly shows controllers, it means that the controller emulation works. Maybe the game is feeding on SteamInput but launching from Playnite causes SteamInput not started.

You might need to configure Playnite to start the game via steam instead of by the game's exe itself

Control is a game backed by Microsoft and some games don't support controllers other than Xbox controllers to play. You should also check the emulated controller type
