Is this project dead or can I rely on this for future?

Hi!

I'm exploring Îles and really love the idea behind it. I'm a basic Vue user and find Nuxt a bit too complex for my needs. I'm looking to build an SSG, and I much prefer using Vue directives over Astro's syntax, and most of my components will mostly be static HTML/CSS.

Just wondering - are there any plans for future updates, or is the project currently on pause? Would love to hear your thoughts. Danke!

I think in ways this is more complex than creating a Nuxt app, because issues like the one mentioned in:

• Suggestion: interactive pages by default #327

I have many live sites using this framework, I just haven't had the need to make any changes to îles, and I haven't had time to work on it "just for fun".

Let's say that I have paused my contributions to it until I find time for it, but it's not abandoned.

• If you aren't using îles already, I highly encourage you to go somewhere else.
• If you were already using îles and it works for you, awesome. Keep your dependencies locked and enjoy!

What a pity. Iles is a lovely framework ❤️ Much more lightweight/responsive than nuxt which became quite bloated over the years. Thanks for inventing, too bad to see you move on. I hope you'll find someone to pass the torch as a maintainer and make it live on. 🤞

I’d like to put my hand up to continue maintaining Iles, if you’re okay with it, @ElMassimo. Forking is an option, but it would be great to see the original framework continue — especially given its excellent architecture and the numerous @islands/* modules, which would also need to be forked.

At the very least, it would be good to have this PR go through, as it fixes a few basic issues, before placing the project on a long pause.

No pressure at all — just sharing my thoughts.

Hi @ElMassimo. What's your take on it? I understand you don't have the time, it's no biggy. Without a doubt, it's very time consuming to maintain such a project and we're already grateful you created it. So if it's to much work, what about sharing stewardship and maintainer rights with @TechAkayy? ...the current silence is synonym of a slow death. Same goes for the big PR. I understand that you may be in favor or against it for whatever reason, but it would be nice to have some kind of statement, even a short one. Isn't it better than this to fall into decay?

I tried installing Îles in my Vue project (which uses the latest Vite), but I'm encountering peer dependency issues. I noticed Îles is using Vite 5 - is it tied specifically to that version? Will you be maintaining compatibility with major Vue or Vite upgrades?
