For me this problem was happening due to a call to the toDataURL method. There is an issue in the library where, this method causes this error if the SVG has not rendered. Workaround I used is to wrap the QRCode component inside another view and add my toDataURL call as a callback and pass it to the onLayout method of the wrapper view.

I have fixed this issue. As for me, I was facing the issue due to using it on bare workflow, without proper app.json config. So, I deleted the "/android" folder, and used managed flow, while reinstalling the library and it worked fine. I hope this helps, I am using (Expo SDK 53 + Typescript).
