Bug Report - Can't Legally Edit Pokémon

Describe the bug
I want to edit my Pokémon's IVs and Nature in Gen 4 (SS), but when I do for anything other than EVs or levels, it says "Invalid: PID+ correlation does not match what was expected for the Encounter's type." When I auto-legalize it, it erases the changes, it appears at level 0, and it hatched from an egg.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to Editor
2. Click on the desired Pokémon
3. Edit anything other than EV's or Level's
4. See error "Invalid: PID+ correlation does not match what was expected for the Encounter's type."

Expected behavior
The Pokémon to either stay legal or legalize while keeping the stats and origin.

Additional context
Originally, it worked fine, but I injected events, and it corrupted my save. I had to turn off backup, so I deleted everything and restarted. The Pokémon is my starter, and I want to keep the description of how I met it.
