Remember zoom level?

Is there a way to have to map page remember the zoom level when changing date ranges? I see discussions about setting the initial zoom level to match the routes found, which would be great, but I'm just looking for it not to reset to the 2000 ft zoom level every time I change the date range. Is there a way to do this now or would this be a feature request?
