  1. Yes, it's intentional. Postgres will ignore it anyway and due to the temporary nature of data stored there, even if it's somehow being purged (which it shouldn't) it will not become a big problem.
  2. Both redis and sidekiq containers can be safely removed and it will be recommended in the nearest future. Background jobs are now being processed by SolidQueue instead if Sidekiq, and while it can also be run in form of a separate container, for self-hosting purposes it's not necessary and hence allows us to simplify the compose file
