The parameter: "mbpsBandwidth" of "struct CBytePerfMon" is not reliable

Hi,

I am trying to figure out which SRT statistic parameter to be used to get the available bandwidth. The parameter "mbpsBandwidth" of "struct CBytePerfMon", from the description, is supposed to provide the available network information. But from the experiments, it is found that the value does not give the actual bandwidth condition.
I am testing a Live server and introducing bandwidth congestion and trying to the find the parameters which gives the available bandwidth information. But none of the parameter is giving the required information.
Can anyone help me out to identify the right parameter from the available SRT parameters, which gives the information about available bandwidth during network congestion or the correct way to interpret the value of "mbpsBandwidth".

SRT bandwidth estimation, exposed through mbpsBandwidth, is based on the packet pair probing technique.
SRT sends a probing packet immediately after the previous one, thus making it possible to measure the minimum available interval in receiving the consecutive packets. Based on those interval values, SRT estimates available bandwidth.

The estimation is not accurate, and has certain limitations, as well as best fit and worst fit networks. We have an intent to improve it, no certain date for now.

I tested the bandwidth estimation as well and made an interesting observation regarding reliablity of the mbpsBandwidth value.

When streaming over wifi oder lan the estimation is pretty accurate.
However, when streaming over a mobile network, I get bandwidth estimations that are way too high. mbpsBandwidth has values of over 150 MBit/s, but when I do a manual speed test the bitrate is below 10 MBit/s.

Do you have any idea what could cause this?
