Block Breaker uses range upgrades

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
I am using a mod called Everyone Poops. I would love to use the block breaker with range upgrades so I can clear an animal pen of poop. I can see other uses for this as well.

Describe the solution you'd like
I want the block breaker to use range upgrades to break blocks in front of the machine but in a larger range. 3x3, 4x4 etc. I would like it for the 1.12.2 version of mc

Additional context
Actually Addtions extends the range but only in a straight line. This feature would be different and useful.
