Adding new device not on list. EnviroSun HP+

Hi @Korkuttum, I have an EviroSun heat pump which is not listed as tested.

wow, thanks for the speedy response. I gave it try and I am still just getting to Initializing.

Could you completely remove the integration and reinstall it? Also, are you testing it locally or in the cloud? Could you try both and let me know the results?

I removed completely and reinstalled using [v2.0.2-modelbeta2]

Testing in cloud gives me the same result Error: 'value'

Testing local, which I'll admit I did not test with [v2.0.2-modelbeta1], worked.

It has provided the sensors, and some weekday status switches., but no controls for on/off, temp set, mode.

Hello,

I think your device is a bit different compared to other devices. As seen on the integration page, it does not seem to be something used for space heating, but rather something used for heating domestic hot water. I’m not sure if that’s the reason, but the DP structure is slightly different.

I made a few changes and released a new version:

Could you please try completely removing the integration, reinstalling this version, and recreating the device?

Additionally, some devices may provide different dp_id values in cloud and local modes. To check this, could you run the following script and share the output with me?

Hi @Korkuttum,
you are correct that this is indeed a heat pump for hot water. I am so sorry, but I have mistaken your project for hot water heat pumps as here we call heating and cooling HVAC, ducted or split reverse cycle and heat pumps are on water tanks..

The new version is now showing the entities but are coming up as unavailable.
I have attached the results from the script.

No stress mate, seems like my heat pump doesn't actually belong in this project being it is DHW.

Thank you for the information you provided. Yes, your device is actually one I wasn’t aware of when I started developing this integration, but in fact the code structure doesn’t make a distinction between devices. On the Tuya side, whatever data comes from local or cloud is converted into entities such as sensor, switch, number, select, etc., and data is both received and sent. So with the appropriate model file, everything should work.

However, there is something about your device that I haven’t been able to figure out yet. There are DPs that we can see and for which we create entities, but those DPs do not become active afterward. I haven’t understood why this happens yet. I’m wondering whether the device might be turning off and on, or something similar. I’ll work on this a bit more.

Additionally, your device provides more than 60 DPs in the cloud and around 19 DPs locally, which is not something I encounter very often. So this limitation might be something imposed by Tuya, but I’m not completely sure. When I have some time, I’ll take a closer look and try to release a new beta version for you.
