Sample Preview [request]

Yo!
Currently, you have to select a sample and then press the right key on the piano to listen to it.
It would be great to be able to listen to the original sample with just one click on it in the sample list.

I can see how this is useful but in my opinion it may get jarring for people who are trying to switch instruments without previewing the sample. Other trackers (on PC) as far as I remember do not play the sample when you just click on it in the sample list, you have to press a note, but maybe there's a case to add this idk

I guess I'm just very used to Vortex Tracker 2, where we can always listen to a sample by clicking on it in the list of loaded samples or in the sample library 🙏.
Perhaps this can be made optional in the settings? Something like "Click Preview."

You could join the discord server if you want, and see what people think--then if there is a consensus that everyone wants that I could work on it and send a pull request through

Re the settings thing, I'm not the maintainer ofc but at least from how I see it there is a risk of the settings becoming overcrowded if there are too many options, unless it becomes paged or something in future

oh wait, did you just mean in the mini multi sample list? I thought you meant in the main instrument list (your screenshot is broken for me) but if it's just in the toggleable samples list maybe that'd be less jarring
