[Bug]: Light/Dark mode toggle not working

Description
The light/dark mode toggle does not switch the theme as expected. Clicking the toggle has no effect (or the UI resets back to the previous theme). This impacts usability and accessibility.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open the application.
2. Locate the theme toggle (light/dark).
3. Click the toggle.
4. Observe the UI.

Expected Behavior
The UI should switch between light and dark themes and persist the selected theme.

Current Behavior
The theme does not change (or changes briefly and reverts).

3. Confirm CSS classes – make sure the Tailwind dark: variant is applied (e.g., className="bg-white dark:bg-gray-900"). If a custom CSS variable is used, verify it changes with the context.
4. Persist the choice (optional but recommended) – store the selected theme in localStorage and read it on app startup so the setting survives page reloads.
5. Test across breakpoints – verify the toggle works on both desktop and mobile navigation bars.

Hi @soumojit-D48, thanks for reaching out here. Yes - the theme switch (dark ↔ light) is expected to apply globally across all pages and components, not just selectively. The goal is a consistent UI state throughout the app.

It’s been 5 days since the clarification was shared regarding the global theme switch behavior.

Could you please share a quick status update on this?

If I don’t receive a PR or a concrete progress update by 16 Feb EOD, I’ll have to remove the assignment and reassign the issue to keep things moving.

@akshay0611 I've tried but after some changes, The dark mode not working properly in my local so thats why I didnt proceed as #75 I also changes in theme context file but after this changes maybe it not solves the issue it require more changes in index.css and tailwind classes of every component.
I think you should reassign this issue to someone else, cause my sem exam are in next week so I dont think i can give time on this issue now, Thank you!
