Unable to change language in GameGear Games

Its a known bug fixed upstream in 2.04

As a workaround i am using Genesis Plus GX but that one starts lagging and has framedrops with several games

Steps to Reproduce

Set PicoDrive Region to Japan NTSC
Start PuyoPuyo
The Game is in English instead of Japanese.

Its a bug that was fixed upstream, not much to say^^ the core needs an update

Thanks for the report! We test each core for best hardware performance, and newer versions may impact speed due to increased accuracy.

It’s not always possible to update immediately, but I’m attaching a build of PicoDrive 1.99 (latest) for you to try on your device.

I sadly no longer own the Miyoo Mini Plus as this was not the only issue I had but mostly my wife was playing with it and she only speaks Japanese.

But it is very easy to test/verify by simply playing games like Streets of Rage or PuyoPuyo. They automatically switch language depending on the hardware.

So if it works, it will show up on Japanese, if it didn't, it will show up in English.
