Looking for information for ICs - AT25_EEPROM and SRAM_512Ko, and support for IDE

I'm looking to build one of these :)

Few questions please:

• Will IDE support work on the regular (non plus) A500? Should kickstart be updated, and if so to which version?

• I would like to understand if the U104 flash EEPROM needs to be populated on the board? I believe there is a sentence in readme saying support for kickstart roms? Was support for this implemented in v2? if so, what exact chip size / model should I be using?

• For SRAM_512Ko ICs, I believe in another post you recommended AS6C4008-55PCN? Are there any other alternatives to use for RAM chips?

Hi There,

Nice to hear you like the project and would like to build one. This makes me really happy! As for your questions;

• IDE support will work on a regular A500 - that is what I have. You need to create a custom kickstart, checkout the guide I just posted called KICKSTART.md in the repo root. This should help with creating one for yourself.
• Check out this issue - AT25 version ? #4 (comment). The SPI EEPROM is not needed for the card to function.
• You can use other SRAM chips, just make sure there are at least 55ns or faster. This will ensure best performance.
