Working on a machine, but not on another.... #19

A pretty strange issue here. I have a Mac Mini (main machine) and a Macbook Pro (occasional work) which have VS Code in absolutely identical configs (synced). On the Mac Mini the extension works perfectly, but on the Macbook it fails completely...
I'm using Python. Settings file is the same on both (customized), the extension is enabled, the same project is loaded on both (a folder), yet one has highlights and the other does not. Tried with a brand new Python file, then with a brand new CPP one, fails to work on the Macbook. Any ideas would be appreciated...
