popup / input should not return none on both autoclose AND cancel or exit

Right now a popup/input (etc) window returns none when autoclosing due to a set timeout. This however is the same value we get back if we actively close or cancel an input window. There is no way to determine the difference which could be helpfull. Can we change the returned value for either the timeout or the cancel/exit?
