I posted previously about issues with qdrant in a custom user control environment. the qdrant team was able to get me working, so I wanted to share here in case anyone else wants more control of their installation.

Below is my docker compose/stack for qdrant's use with immich-mediakit,

  qdrant:
    container_name: immich-mediakit-qdrant
    image: qdrant/qdrant:latest-unprivileged
    user: "1000:1000"
    restart: unless-stopped
    networks:
      - immich-mediakit
    volumes:
      - ${QDRANT_DATA}/storage:/qdrant/storage
      - ${QDRANT_DATA}/snapshots:/qdrant/snapshots

note that the unprivileged version requires the user to specify both the /qdrant/storage and /qdrant/snapshots individually or the container will throw an error during creation.
