Hi,

i am trying to make it work since a while without success so i was hoping someone can tell me if its me or related to the fact that i don't use immich with docker.

In the UI i see the message that others are reporting as well, something like
Asset path test failed. Asset file not found at expected path: /opt/immich/upload/library/admin/2008/Japan/Japan_2008_2531.jpg.xmp. This file was constructed...

However,

Hi @123mariachi123..

Thank you for the detailed report.

I hadn't anticipated this setup O.O
In this case, the database stores absolute host paths like /opt/immich/upload/...,
but the container expects paths relative to the mount point /immich/...

I've pushed a fix that automatically detects and maps host paths to container paths for this scenario

Could you try pulling the latest image and restarting?
The logs should show path mapping messages
If it still fails, please share the new logs

@RazgrizHsu According to dockerhub the last update was 5 hours ago. Is this the correct version? I think its still 0.2.0, correct?

Anyways, unfortunately it does not fix my problem.

Or am i supposed to change the container path?
I did not change anything except pulling the new image

ah, my fault. I changed the compose file env variable
- IMMICH_PATH=/opt/immich/upload
to match my .env variable
IMMICH_PATH=/opt/immich/upload
and now it works just fine.

Sorry about the confusion.
Actually this is our compose design issue, not yours.

The compose environment section was overriding the .env value,
so the program couldn't read the original host path.
I'll fix this in the next update
