Notifications not showing when syncing from FreshRSS (Android)

Hi, I’m using Read You v0.16.0 with my self-hosted FreshRSS instance and I never receive notifications about new articles, even though background sync works and new items are downloaded successfully.

I have Android 16 (Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7), notifications enabled in system settings, battery set to Unrestricted, notifications enabled per feed. However, no notification appears when new articles arrive.

FreshRSS sync works fine (items update in app). I’m connecting via the FreshRSS API (Google Reader API endpoint). I don’t see any errors or notification prompts in the app. I couldn’t find any global toggle for notifications in Read You.

Could someone clarify, if Read You currently support push / system notifications for new articles when syncing from FreshRSS? If yes, how are they triggered (background worker/FCM)? If notifications depend on API type (e.g., GoogleReader vs Fever), which one is required?
