Still cant control system fans in MSI b850m MAG Mortar

Hi,

Im still unable to control the system fans on the MSI b850m Mortar MB, i can control pump and cpu fans just fine and can control my GPU. Im not sure if im doing something wrong but i get the question mark when trying to control with no speed change. It reads the speeds just fine.

Does the speed "eventually" changes? The implementation for 800 series AMD MSI board has a caveat where the fan response will be very slow. This will throw the "?" because FanControl expects a minimally faster response.

Technically the board support was added, but it might still has problems: LibreHardwareMonitor/LibreHardwareMonitor#2125

In any case, the fix would be in LHM.

Can you also post a screenshot of HWiNFO showing fans and mainboard model (including NCT66*** text) ?
I wonder if it might be a D instead of DR, could be wrong though.

I've the same issue rn, MSI B850M Mortar WIFI, my pump and cpu fans are good, but others always change their percentage slowly with discrepancy

They try to lower the percentage I set quickly, but after a moment it suddenly returns to the previous percentage and starts to change it too slowly.

Hi, Please see attached, i did see the that after a very prolonged while the sped does change maybe approx 50-75 rpm every 5 seconds so i hadnt even waited so going from 400rpm to max 2000 will take a few mins atleast - thanks

The slowness is just part of it. Yes it's a LHM issue, not a fancontrol specific thing.
