App stopped working suddenly (on Jira Cloud)

Describe the bug
Harvester Cloud - stopped working all of a sudden

To Reproduce

1. click on the usual button to have the harvester overlay pop-up
2. nothing happens
3. no useful information in the console or the network panel
4. We did not update or install other apps when harvester stopped working

plugin to work

This has happened with our Harvester Application within JIRA Cloud as well. We get this blank screen when users select the field.

Same here, there is a TypeError in the browser console which looks relevant:

For the record, it seems like strategery.io has been bought/merged with Dignify agency from Belgium. I tried to reach out but so far no luck; I wonder if they are still taking care of this app; I doubt it though. I have also pointed out the situation to Atlassian, who offered to refund us the app in case we are not able to get it fixed.
There are more options on the market than some years ago.

Via Atlassian I got into contact with the support of Harvest app

Their reply was:

Just a quick update: this looks like a deprecated API on the Jira side is breaking the scripts. We’re investigating what kind of changes are needed but just wanted to let you know the fix will probably take at least one more week…

Hi!

Yes, it seems the app wasn't making profit so it probably wont be updated, Best thing to do is cancel this one and switch to a new one, we switched to Twin Suns plugin for harvest to Jira, works fine.

What @MatthijsLantaff mentioned is correct. Some more context: Atlassian discontinued the platform it was built on a bit sooner than expected (it was scheduled for May 2026, but the plugin stopped working September 14th without prior warning). The platform this plugin was built on is called "Connect", and moving to the new planform ("Forge") would be a significant investment, so Dignify decided to discontinue support for the plugin.

An email will be sent soon to those who had active subscriptions with more information and next steps.

We're also making the code open source, in case anyone wants to port the plugin to Forge.
