This is not a workaround. The user logging is there by design.

If you have just renamed the admin user (reusing the external id of the Root user), you may also need to update the Event Contact record. To do so, you can edit an event that had the Root, A as the main contact, change the name, email, etc, and check the "Please confirm the change in your contact information." toggle, click Update Event.
