Before releasing this project, I've taken a look at other self-hosted projects and saw that most of them used Discord to build their communities. Despite not having used Discord for a while, I thought that might be somewhat nice to have, though obviously not without tradeoffs.

Well. Not even a full week has passed since then, Discord announced their "killer feature", and now I realize that I probably should stop whatever I was trying to do with it and pivot towards something more robust. Frankly, I doubt that the self-hosted communities that previously used Discord will be as active, or will ever be the same.

I'm opening Discussions for now, so that there's a place to ask questions and share ideas without using any third-party services.

In the future, I want to set up an XMPP server for communication with contributors and maintainers, more sensitive topics that you don't want to open a discussion for, and for anything more informal in general.
