Moved Block Detection : Easier Comparison?

With moved block detection you can see a distant link to wherever it has moved from/to, but there doesn't seem to be a good way to view the blocks against each other.
If I've not overlooked something equivalent, can I suggest something like the following -

• show (per a setting) the moved blocks as extra "ghost images" against each other in a different style (maybe make uneditable or transfer edits in it to the actual position); or
• have some way to say view the two blocks together, either in the difference pane below or in a new tab; in those options a new tab would enable them to be viewed side by side
• some other way
