As per the title, How can i select an inverter protocol that is not offered in the configurator
I wish to test the Narada RS485 protocol but its not offered in the configurator

Have you tried the NARADA_MODBUS binding?
If that doesn't work you could try the PYLON_RS485 bindng.
Otherwise please attach the RS485 protocol communication specification and I'll see when I can implement it.
