Hello everyone!
First of all Thank you so much @ai-republic @danieltorkian @Citizen4our @DMIINC @jmcewen58 !
With Claude help (network engineer here sorry) and the parameters I collected (HEX, etc.) from the EG4 software called BMS_Tools, I was able to build an integration for my battery BMS from Hunan GCE. It only works with Modbus (probably an old BMS model) and is sold in the country where I live under the brand "Unipower".
For anyone interested in testing this Modbus communication, Claude created a python script to test it first before compile everything.
test_hngce_bms.py
Results:
hngce_python_test.txt
After successful communication I suggested it start the analysis and compiling based on MPP Solar Modbus (that had minimal poor communication) to create the HNGCE BMS Modbus integration, below the zipped packages.
hngce-bms-to-inverter-package.zip
The txt below is a summary of was modified and created, @ai-republic I'd be glad if you could check it what was done to a possible merge to this repository (if viable)
HNGCE_MODBUS_IMPLEMENTATION.txt
It running on webserver:
Please let me know of any adicional information or output is needed from my side, I'll gladly help.
Edit
One additional information, for those who are looking for a compatible Modbus for a BMS not listed, Hunan GCE is the OEM for various brands, check with test_hngce_bms.py if it returns some data from your battery.
