return an error and a note when init.sh fails due to buildout

Sometimes buildout fails when initialized via init.sh. This can be due to a broken setuptools etc..
The output should not be silent, instead it should return some kind of message with instructions on how to recover from this.

At minimum, encourage them to run bin/buildout -vvv and look for issues.
