Project Renaming - Moving Beyond "ApeRAG" #1145
Description
We should consider renaming the project, moving away from "ApeRAG."
The "RAG" in our current name creates an immediate association with Retrieval Augmented Generation systems. This can inadvertently set user expectations to align with the typical RAG experience and may lead to comparisons with other RAG-focused projects, which is something we want to avoid.
Our core offering is a multi-modal indexing layer that supports diverse index types (vector, full-text, graph, summary, and more to come) combined with a flexible multi-agent query layer.
We need a name that better reflects this vision. It doesn't necessarily need to be a directly descriptive name; an abstract name that embodies our goals would also be suitable.
