Python Type Hints

Hi Team,
I'm looking for guidance on the Python Type Hints approach aws-cli uses or would welcome moving forward.
I'm working in the autocompletion module, and looking to add type hints as part of, or a prerequisite for a PR.

Have there been any previous discussions on adding Type Hints?
If not, I'd like to suggest a few ideas, and seek feedback.
