Description
I would welcome better localisation support.
For example, when I select Slovak, not only does the language change, but also regional settings such as:
Date format, Decimal separator, Numbers, Font, Time.
Right now the state is like this:
Dates
Date format is displayed in edit mode YYYY-MM-DD. In view mode D.M.YYYY. In add book mode D.M.YYYY.
Suggestion:
Ideally it should be DD.MM.YYYY or D.M.YYYY everywhere.
Font
The current font does not support Slovak characters with diacritics. It is replaced by a substitute font. This is particularly noticeable in book titles that use the AnotherTypewriter font, which does not support Latin Extended characters. In addition, every word in sentences or phrases begins with a capital letter, which looks very strange.
Suggestion:
When user selects a language, switch to Latin Extended Font or a font that supports the selected language.
Numbers
There is no thousand separator. In Slovak it is "space". Some other languages use "." or ",". For decimal separator should be ",". Some other languages use "."
Suggestion:
It would be nice if this could be changed when the language is changed.
It seems like a lot of work, but perhaps there is already a system available for this type of localisation.
Does anyone know about it?
