Multiple tracks that go to the same channel

I may have missed something (please advise), but it seems not currently possible to export multiple 'Track' that go to the same 'Channel'. The idea is to not define (and thus load) a 'Device' multiple times, or populate the mixer with duplicate channel strips. This is very common with multi-timbral instruments like UVI Falcon, NI Kontakt, etc.

Neither BitWig nor Studio One interpret a reference like this:

<Track contentType="notes" id="id23" loaded="true" name="Falcon Synth Bass">
    <Channel id="id19"/>
</Track>

Is this still not implemented? Is there another way to accomplish this?

If the 'id' attribute can't be used for referencing there must be a different way to achieve this. I tested child tracks under Track with contentType="tracks" which don't do it either.
