Do we want to use a commit convention for commits on main and merges into main?
I suggest angular's commit conventions (I changed a few things for our needs):
Here's a sneak preview:
Type
Must be one of the following:
The Scope could be frontend, backend, core, db, etc.
Subject
The subject contains a succinct description of the change:
Body
Just as in the subject, use the imperative, present tense: "change" not "changed" nor "changes". The body should include the motivation for the change and contrast this with previous behavior.
