I'm a newbie, but to fix the error, you need to rename the image to "/face" and you should be able to put a picture back on the profile. |

Hey @Necros-x! I noticed you're having trouble setting your profile picture in the Caelestia shell. To clarify, the lock screen avatar is loaded specifically from ~/.face (it does not recognize ~/.face.icon or other variations). Here is the proper way to set it up:
# Remove if it's a directory, then copy your image
rm -rf ~/.face
cp /path/to/your/image.png ~/.face
Apply the changes by restarting the Caelestia shell: caelestia shell -k # Kill the current shell process
caelestia shell -d # Restart in daemon modeYou can verify the change by locking the screen: Troubleshooting Permissions: Ensure the file is readable: Format Verification: Run file ~/.face to confirm the output says PNG image data. For more details, you can refer to the PFP/Wallpapers section of the README. |
