Current problem
It would be nice to be able to pause and resume a scan. This would allow to display a loading state during scanning in which the preview is frozen.
This aligns with the material design which recommends:
When a barcode has been detected by the camera... Search and display search progress if the barcode’s value needs to be looked up. In this phase... The camera feed pauses to prevent scanning another barcode.

New functions for pausing and resuming a scan. Like pauseScan and resumeScan.
