@SquidDev Hey squiddev so im currently running a python program to mirror Several maven repositories into one mavne repository
From my own: maven.palorderhosting.net and it automaticlly recursively downloads files so its not likely that it wont download new versions as its gonna take a long time for it to fully mirror it as i will keep running the program forever cuz yes If you see alot of traffic on your maven or it crashes due my mirrorer Please contact me to temporarily disable the mirroring program if this alarms you!

If you're sending enough traffic that a server might have trouble, and you're not a company that doesn't care about the server load (e.g. AI companies), you should rate-limit your requests to one or two per second max. Then you don't need to bug people about potentially taking down their infrastructure!

Sorry for late response, im not literally sending billions of requests as what my system does is check the folder where everything is supposed to download to first it indexes the maven repository slowly and then compares and downloads the hash files to compare if existing files are matching to the maven repository if nonexistent it downloads the files and runs checksums and skips if it passes and already exists.
There is a rate limit in place
