ESM module not found

I have install pymol and esm successfully. But when I fold the default example using ESM models, got the following error:
esm module not found: no module named ‘httpx'
I have tried many times and don't know why. I have had API key from Evolutionary Scale Forge and input in the box "Forge Token". Is this correct?

Hi @tongguangjie3 -

This could be due to a missing dependency in the esm_environment.yaml file (and in the resulting PyMOLfold conda environment).

Let's try to manually install the httpx library...

First, in the PyMOL terminal, detect the Python executable that your PyMOL instance uses:

PyMOL>import sys
PyMOL>print(sys.executable)
/home/<username>/biotools/pymol/bin/python  <-- Copy this

Then, in your system terminal/command line, install the httpx package using that executable:

/home/<username>/biotools/pymol/bin/python -m pip install httpx

Now, re-open PyMOL and see if PyMOLfold gives the same error.

(In the meantime, I'll try to update our esm_environment.yaml file to install the httpx dependency.)

After I installed httpx successfully. A new error showed:
'ESMProteinError' object has no attribute 'to_protein_chain'
Could you tell me why and how fix it? Thank you very much.

We are going to implement better error handling, but I think this ESMProteinError may due to the Forge API flagging a sequence as potentially harmful.

If you run the same sequence through the ESM Forge API directly (like, from Python), do you get the same error?

I used the default example sequence. In another ESM issue I saw mredrejo also have this problem, but he used default example and it worked. I will try another sequence. Thank you.
