mvn clean install -X on version 7.4.1-post fails with installed_pom.xml not exists

Everything works just fine on version 6.0.0.

But as soon as I run

mvn clean install -X

on version 7.4.1-post, I am getting this error:

Could anyone help to find out what is the problem and how to fix that?
