The samples page has a script to run WinGet in the FirstLogon phase. I am not a fan of WinGet, mainly because it is so hard to run from a script even in 24H2. It also appears that WinGet is not readily available on Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC despite being based on 24H2. Therefore, I would not call WinGet a “default application” at all. That being said, you can adapt that script from the samples page to use the JSON output, like so: |

Now that WinGet is a default application, it would be nice if it was possible to paste the json output you get when you do a winget export -o wingetexport.json and have it installed upon FirstLogon.
Just to make it easy to quickly install the applications you actually want, after cleaning up in the bloat that you don't.
