How to add <key,value> pairs to extra object?

The extra object documentation(https://ctrf.io/docs/specification/extra) talks about possibly adding the optional object property to various other objects(property of results, tool, summary, test, step and environment)

But it doesn't say how to actually do it in an example. It would be really helpful if it gives this info. The link in the Usage Guidelines section is broken. We are evaluating using this reporter in combination with ctrf-io/slack-test-reporter, but this is a requirement to send custom aka extra properties. Please let me know if this is possible and/or you need more information

At the moment, there isn't a built-in way to add extra properties using the existing CTRF tooling. However, we’re working on a new approach that will allow libraries and reporters to programmatically attach extra properties to any supported object - including test. This is estimated to be available by the end of the year.
