how to create directories inside other directories

I may feel dumb but I read the naming scheme part of the readme and I am still stumped at how can I get this program to create subdirectories within a directory. I would like my directories to go somewhat like this: {album_artist}/{album} {if #releasecomment# > #0#, (|releasecomment|)} ({year})/{format}/{if #totaldiscs# > #1#, CD|disc|}

You might have already solved it on your end, but in case it's still pending, this is how it works (without special cases / conditions) on my end:

cyanrip [...] -D "{album_artist}/{album} [{format}]"

I.e. using -D and then putting your structure for the path in between "
This creates the individual album in a folder one level below the artist's name.
