Description

When I attempt to connect via WiFi or USB, the Windows app crashes. What VCRUNTIME140.dll version are you using that is working? What's its file size?:

Faulting module name: VCRUNTIME140.dll, version: 14.44.35211.0, time stamp: 0x0f259d81
Exception code: 0xc0000005
  • Phone Model: Pixel 3
  • Android Version: 12
  • Connection Method: Both WiFi and USB seem to fail the same way
  • Windows 10 22h2

Troubleshooting:

  • Tried VCamdroid versions 1.3 and 1.3.1
  • I've tried the 64-bit versions 14.44.35211.0 and 14.50.35719.0 of the VB runtimes
  • I've also looked for other versions of the VCRUNTIME140.dll on my drive and tried randomly copying 5-6 of them directly into the VCamdroid installation directory
  • I have registered the DLL as administrator
  • Tried running the Windows app as admin
  • I have Windows firewall completely disabled and no antivirus installed
  • Ping works in both directions
  • I ran Angry IP scanner against the phone (while the camera app was open) on ports 6969, 8554 and 39029 (my randomly-assigned debug port) and only the debug port shows open
  • I can see the ADB device and am able to install the APK
C:\Portable\Audio-Video\VCamdroid\adb>adb devices
* daemon not running; starting now at tcp:5037
* daemon started successfully
List of devices attached
89LX0BPY8 device

Android Logs:

  • There is no bug icon (or any other icon) I can see in the Android app to attempt to view any logs

vcamdroid.log, trying via USB:
