Yes, you can covert this into a shortcode plugin. The change will be in Step 2. Instead of using add_action('admin_menu', function-name) you might want to use add_shortcode('my_custom_shortcode', function-name) instead and put the table inside the function-name function. Then use the shortcode [my_custom_shortcode] in the WordPress editor.

Hi, thank you for tutorial, i got an error when i click UPDATE and DELETE, and got an error as well after inserting row but data is inserted to table, error message was "Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page", please assist, thanks in advance

This is what I did to fix that error.
replace the function addAdminPageContent() {....} with this

function addAdminPageContent() {
add_menu_page('CRUD', 'CRUD', 'manage_options', 'crud','crudAdminPage', 'dashicons-wordpress');
}

Then do a search to replace all instances of 'crud.php' with 'crud'

Maybe you have already solved the error: "Sorry, you do not have permission to access this page", anyway i leave the solution here, The error is in the URL, replace: "admin.php?page=crud.php" to "admin.php?page=crud/crud.php".

And thanks to David Angulo, it helped me a lot to find out how wordpress works.

I tried to make this a regular plug in to use on a normal page and all things work except the update function. I can get the update little table to show with the current values, but when I click on the update button on that table it takes me to nothing here page.

I Temporarily commented out <script>location.replace('admin.php?page=crud.php');</script>.. wherever it was in code so that we remain on the same page after submission.
