Description
When creating a GameCenterResource.gamekit file in Xcode, I fully populate all data for Achievements, Leaderboards, and Leaderboard Sets, including localisations and images.
However, when pushing the Game Center configuration from Xcode to App Store Connect, the data does not sync correctly.
Problems observed
-
Localisation data only partially updates
-
I manually created test localisations directly in App Store Connect for a Leaderboard:
- Example:
- Localisation: Catalan
- Display Name: a (dummy data)
- Localisation: Ukrainian
- Display Name: a (dummy data)
- Localisation: Catalan
- Example:
-
When I push the Game Center configuration from Xcode:
- Only one localisation updates with the values from
GameCenterResource.gamekit.
- Only one localisation updates with the values from
-
The other localisation remains unchanged.
-
This behaviour is consistent: it appears that the sync process updates a single localisation and then stops, rather than iterating through all available localisations.
Images never upload
- Images defined in
GameCenterResource.gamekitare never uploaded to App Store Connect. - I have tested:
- PNG images
- JPEG images (including compressed versions to rule out file size issues)
- In all cases, no images appear in App Store Connect after pushing from Xcode.
Expected behaviour
- All localisations defined in
GameCenterResource.gamekitshould update correctly in App Store Connect when pushed from Xcode. - All associated images should upload and appear correctly in App Store Connect.
Actual behaviour
- Only one localisation updates per push.
- Remaining localisations are ignored.
- Images are never uploaded.
This makes it impossible to reliably manage Game Center metadata and assets from Xcode, especially for apps with multiple localisations.
