How to automatically scroll long text when menu item is selected?

Hi,
I'm using a simple rotary encoder to navigate through the menu.

How can I automatically scroll (shift) long text in the display when a menu item is selected and the text doesn't fit on the screen?
Is there a built-in method for this, or do I need to implement it manually?

There's no inbuilt method for this. Experiment with calling menu.left() and menu.right() periodically.
